www.homesown.biz. My name is Kristy,
my friends call me momma:) My head is
always up in the clouds. I'm a dreamer,
mother, friend, lover, laid back, mellow,
free spirit. I am genuinely happy and very
comfortable in my own skin. I design and
sew all of the clothing on my site. I've
been interested in the arts since I can
remember and I've been making clothes
and sewing for many years. I attended
school at the Savannah College of Art
and design and graduated in 2002 with a
degree in fashion design. I decided to
start my own company rather than
working in a large commercial
corporation so I would not have to
compromise my artistic integrity. I am a
single momma with a daughter, Daisy,
who inspires me everyday as well as my
friends and phamily. I hope to one day
work at home, in the beautiful mountains
of Asheville, N.C, full time.
I have many hobbies and interests. I love
sewing (of course) going to festivals and
vending, camping, hiking, playing, & just
soaking in the sun in general.

I carry a unique collection of handmade
conscious clothing. All of my pieces are
made of 100% cotton, hemp or organic
fibers with no mass production. The basic
idea of Homesown is to celebrate my
customers individuality with one of a kind
quality handmade clothing. My garments
are made with a lotta love, its real and
from the heart....Life is a moment to
celebrate, to enjoy, make it *FUN*

All of my garments are made of the
highest quality. All of the seams are
serged with a four stitch overlock
machine as well as a straight stitch for
added durability. However, I do
recommend all clothing be hand washed
for a longer life.

If you would like to purchase an item that
has already been sold or simply cannot
find what you're looking for, I would be
happy to make you your own custom
piece. Check out my gallery of sold items
and various appliqués for ideas. Keep in
mind that all garments are one of a kind
and will vary for custom orders.
